Grant Writing for Tribal Climate Adaptation Workshop

This entry-level workshop focuses on tips and tricks to support effective grant writing for Tribal climate adaptation. The curriculum will emphasize the essential components of grant applications. Participants will write a draft grant proposal and participate in a peer review activity.

Other highlights include:

  • Panel discussion with experienced grant writers for Tribes and Indigenous communities.

  • Optional field trips to highlight examples of successful grant-funded projects.


Target Audience: Tribal technical staff in the Midwest region.

Accommodations: Ho-Chunk Gaming Black River Falls Hotel, Hotel Block ID 1331. The hotel block closes on November 18, 2024.

Meals: Meals will be provided at no cost to participants. Please indicate any dietary restrictions on the registration form.

Travel Support: Travel support (hotel & mileage) is available to participants. Please indicate interest in travel support on the registration form.


Registration is free and available on a first come, first served basis. This workshop is capped at 50 participants. If capacity is reached, we may ask organizations sending multiple participants to voluntarily reduce the number sent in order to accommodate the greatest number of organizations.
