Climate Adaptation 101 for Tribal Nations in Minnesota

This entry-level workshop focuses on the fundamentals of climate adaptation. The curriculum will emphasize ways that Tribal technical staff can incorporate climate adaptation into their existing work. Participants will gain access to information, tools, and resources to support effective engagement in climate adaptation.

Highlights include:

  • Introduction to Vulnerability Assessments

  • Introduction to Adaptation Planning

  • Introduction to Implementation, Monitoring, and Evaluation

  • Roundtable discussions about the loss of winter under climate change


Target Audience: Technical staff and students from Tribal Nations, Tribal organizations, and TCUs in Minnesota who want to incorporate climate adaptation into their work.

Accommodations: Cedar Lakes Casino Hotel, Hotel Block “Climate Adaptation 101.” Call the CLC Front Desk at 218-335-7541.

Meals: Meals will be provided at no cost to participants. Please indicate any dietary restrictions on the registration form.

Travel Support: Travel support (hotel & mileage) is available to participants on a first come, first served basis. Please indicate interest in travel support on the registration form. If you need to cancel your registration after arranging travel support, you MUST contact the event organizers to avoid a no-show fee.
